5.7 to 5.9
« on: July 01, 2008, 07:11:06 PM »

Has anyone run into any major problems with this?  I'm familiar with both systems, but never upgraded from 5.7 to 5.9.  Also, how much of a pain is it to deploy the PLM with mobile users?  Finally, what was the time frame?

Thanks

its a piece of cake - just test it in your test environment before doing it in Productoin.
PLM? it may be a pain, but its simple to use and understand once you use it a bit. Make sure you are using PLM SP1, minimum. Also note that the P6 PLM can be used with P59 (and its supported!), and it adds more features, including email notifcation to the Admin of your choice, when the PLM goes loses connectivity with the Sentinel services.... one step closer to removing the need for redundant license servers (which is a complete waste of time, IMHO)
